HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — Normally, Hell's Kitchen residents might find out who their neighbors are supporting for mayor by looking at polls, but for an election where polling is sparse, following the money can reveal which candidates are gaining steam in the neighborhood.

An interactive map by the city's Campaign Finance Board shows contributions for all of this year's races, including mayor, comptroller, city council and borough president.

With just two weeks to go until the June 22 primaries, here's which candidates are leading in the neighborhood. (Patch looked at the city's designated Clinton neighborhood area, which runs from the river to Eighth Avenue between West 38th and 58th streets.)

Yang, McGuire lead in mayor's race

Ray McGuire, the former Wall Street executive, leads the money race in Hell's Kitchen, as he did when Patch first looked at the data in February. McGuire, whose huge fundraising has been one of the race's big stories, has raised about $57,000 in the neighborhood.

Andrew Yang, the only major candidate who calls Hell's Kitchen home, is in second place, with about $29,300 in donations from the neighborhood.

Following Yang is Comptroller Scott Stringer, whose former Assembly district included parts of Hell's Kitchen, followed by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams. Former nonprofit leader Dianne Morales has the raised the least of any major candidate in Hell's Kitchen, at about $5,300.

Wiley, Yang strong in total donations

Breaking the data down by the total number of donations for each candidate can show pockets of local support that were otherwise hidden.

By that metric, it is Maya Wiley, the former CCRB chair and counsel to the mayor, shows some support in Hell's Kitchen, with 233 total donations. She trails only Yang, who has 237 separate contributions.

Johnson dominates in comptroller's race

In the race for city comptroller, a few Democrats are running to become New York's next top fiscal officer — including State Sens. Brian Benjamin and Kevin Parker, Brooklyn Councilmember Brad Lander, Queens Assemblymember David Weprin and Council Speaker Corey Johnson.

Unsurprisingly, Johnson, who represents Hell's Kitchen in the Council, has dominated fundraising in the neighborhood. He has raised $27,147 here, trouncing rivals like Benjamin, who is in a distant second at $6,400.

The city primary election will be held on June 22, with early voting from June 12–20. Find your polling place here.
