HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — New York Restaurant Week is making a grand return this month, officials announced on Monday — and nearly two dozen eateries in Hell's Kitchen have already signed up for the deal-filled event.

After being forced to go takeout-only in January, Restaurant Week's summer run will kick off in-person next Monday, July 19 and run for five weeks at more than 500 restaurants across the city, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Monday.

Reservations are already open, and 23 Hell's Kitchen restaurants are listed as participating — with more likely to join ahead of the July 15 registration deadline.

This year's deals will include $21 lunches or $39 dinners, each consisting of at least one entrée and one side dish. There will also be a new $125 option called the "Signature Dining Experience," featuring three or more courses.

"This is going to be amazing," de Blasio said. "Think about restaurants you've always wanted to go to — here's the opportunity. It's a wonderful, super restaurant week."

The participating eateries include more than 40 types of cuisines in 75 neighborhoods, according to organizers NYC & Company.

The return of restaurant week comes as New York City continues its campaign to restart tourism in the city, which flagged during the coronavirus pandemic. Both the mayor and organizers said the extended restaurant week will add to the effort.

"Accompanied with vibrant open streets and rich cultural activity returning across the five boroughs, the options this summer are endless and the time to visit is now," NYC & Company President Fred Dixon said.

There will also be exclusive deals for MasterCard holders, including a $10 statement credit on each transaction of $39 or more and the chance to win 200,000 airline miles with each NYC Restaurant Week meal.

Registration for restaurants to participate is still open through July 15, according to organizers.
