Construction is now topped out on 312 West 43rd Street, a 33-story mixed-use residential development in Midtown, Manhattan. Located at the convergence of Times Square and Hell’s Kitchen neighborhoods, the tower will comprise 330 rental units, a collection of tenant amenities, and two floors of unspecified retail space.

The tower is developed by National Real Estate Advisors and Taconic Partners, which together leased ground rights at 312 West 43rd Street from the 1199SIEU Health Care Workers Union for a term of 99 years.

“312 West 43rd Street was thoughtfully designed to bring its residents an unparalleled combination of bespoke homes, contemporary amenities, and convenient proximity to commercial office centers and mass transportation hubs,” said Colleen Wenke, president and chief operating officer of Taconic Partners. “We’re excited to celebrate this topping-out milestone alongside our partners, and are now one step closer to bringing one of the city’s most celebrated neighborhoods its next iconic residential and retail destination.”

Designed by Handel Architects, the development features a bifurcated design with two distinct volumes set atop a single-story podium. Along West 43rd Street, there will be a seven-story, low-rise structure with a mix of commercial and residential area. The volume will feature a tan masonry façade and a punched window system with ornamental, brass-colored window rails.

The high-rise volume will face West 42nd Street and will also comprise a mix of commercial and residential area. Unlike the low-rise volume, this structure will feature a reflective glass curtain wall, but with similar brass ornamentation. Apartments will occupy floors five through 30, set atop commercial space on the first and second floors, and a portion of the amenity collection on the fourth floor.

Amenity space will account for more than 28,000 square feet and include landscaped private gardens, a rooftop pool, a spa and sauna, co-working areas, and a fitness center, with more to be announced.

The building is expected to debut fall 2024.
